HI there thi is Juan Medina fro Ventura california
yesterday March 13 I set 35 eggs of silkies
in a Geneses 1588
at 65% Humidity
so far so good

yes, humidity should be between 35% and 50% for the first 18 days - higher than that you risk "drowning" the eggs.

last 3 days (lockdown) should be 70% humidity.

Good luck everyone!

I do 35-45% the first 18 days and 65% for lock down.

ETA: I'm halfway through incubation and have not had to add water. My humidity is in the 40's and I won't add water until it gets below 35%.
