Setting 18 store bought eggs in homemade bator! 1/23

Wow that is a really nice incubator.

Thanks, it was fun to build. You should give it a go. They are easier to build then they look!

Almost got my egg turner done, maybe tomorrow. Thinking about going to Bend tomorrow and check trader joes out , rammer has it they have free range and fertile eggs. Actually not a turner, a gentle Manuel roller..

Hahaha! "A gentle manual roller.." That is similar to mine. I have the materials together but I don't want to install it yet as I have the incubator already fired up.

Let me see some pictures!

Make sure you check the date on the eggs at TJ. Hopefully you can find some week old or less ones! Let me know how it goes!

My eggs have been for 4 days tomorrow morning. I think I'm going to wait till day 7 to candle.

Ok so I cheated a bit and candled 3 random eggs this evening (4.5 days in). I could not see any development. I did however see air cell progression. The are enlarging a little too fast I think. I might have to up the humidity. I did run it dry today on accident and humidity dropped to 32%. It's usually around 38-42%. Temps are still holding. Some mild fluctuations now and again but nothing too major. +-.4 degrees. Might have to do with the ambient temperature in my house. Fingers are still crossed to see some kind of development on day 7 though the egg shells are dark and hard to see through.

finally got my push/pull egg turner done. Set everything on a raised screen , just need to get a tubing installed to fill my pan, and it will ready to go. The incubator i sat 12 mille eggs last Saturday is doing well on humidity and temp.

Well it was day 8 of my store bought eggs. I had all dudes accept for 1. I seen some veining. He is in the incubator all by himself now :( I cracked open all the others to check. None were fertile.
