I hope it already has been. I am trying things I've read elsewhere. I am following plans I state up front, and providing as much data about the attempts...I really don't get why I am your thing.

He's usually gone by this time of evening, so I would say you won't get an answer until tomorrow.

I do wish you luck with the rest of your hatch. I'm curious to know, since you had one that lost 14%, how was the weight loss on the others that hatched, and on the ones yet to hatch?

According to hatch time; 11.18%, 9.42%, 9.38%, 11.59%, 11.70%, 9.38%, 8.75%, 8.82%...these are numbers from day 18. I had a target of 11.5% for day 18. I have many other eggs with similar numbers who have not hatched.

My extremes, despite the high humidity, are 5.67% and 16.37%....

Interesting.
With my first hatch, I thought weighing was the way to go. Its scientific, and consistent, if I could just get the right numbers, all should be well! But my numbers didn't back up what happened. Although your numbers look great, some are hatching and some aren't. So why is that? Honestly, I can't even figure out how yours lost that much weight with humidity that high! So that part worked for you...getting close to a goal number, so I will be anxious to see what tomorrow brings for you.

TY, proof that some theories aren't based in any kind of fact, is what I say. I just keep hoping that accumulating data will eventually lead to some sort of truth, some truth better than "absolutely"

Yeah, I'm usually gone this time of evening, but I was curious. You're not "my thing". It was kind of fun ribbing you at first, until you got drunk and angry, so I just started watching. Seriously, I hope you have a great hatch. Point at my inconsistencies and trial and error method and laugh all you want. I will just continue reading this saga and do the same.

I just read an article about weighing eggs. The person took the whole tray out of the Brinsea and weighed it with all the eggs on day 7/14/18 and used those numbers for calculating the weight loss, not individual eggs - since eggs, even from the same hen, are all slightly different.

Where did you read to incubate lower days 1-18, raise the temp day 19-20 and then drop the temperature 11 degrees on day 21? I'd like to look at that article.
