Frizzles are fun. We had a frizzle rooster for many years. One summer he got one of those fly strips stuck to the back of him. Poor guy ran around the yard all day thinking that something was chasing him. I will have to admit it was funny.

That's funny, I can almost picture that!

Ok, now, you have to come up with a different name than Elvis...because it's a girl! I hope. Now, what girl looks like Elvis? hmmmm.....
I put these on fb...one of my daughters thought it looked like it had a mowhawk do. Just the way it's facing I guess.

peeping.... good luck on your hatch.

Hubby said to me tonight so when will they hatch???? I told him lock down is tomorrow night. so any day....now... sometime by mothers day I told him.
I think he is really excited.

I candled one really quick this am and saw 2 chicken feet kicking... and told hubby later and he was disappointed that he didn't get to see.

hubby said the other day i can hatch as many eggs as I want he "trusts" me.... I don't think he understands how chicken math goes yet.

though he saved some hatching eggs that came in yesterday from the evil post man... he took the box and rubberbanded it to my mailbox

:rant

but he saved them and none were broken... now gotta get these guys to hatch....

I just figured I can put 10 bantam eggs in one row in the LG incubator.... anyone know how many reg chicken eggs i can place in a row in there?

trying to figure out what the capacity is for the next hatch....

I have 35 bantam eggs to put in there figure that would take up 1/3 of the incubator.... was wondering if i could fit 2 doz or 2 1/2 doz reg size eggs in there too? or is that too many... LOL im addicted already.

Okay, I went ahead and locked down. Not really sure if the peeps were coming from my incubator or from the chicks I have outside, but I figured it would be better to err on the side of caution since I am doing dry incubation. Now, let's see what hatches! I have 13 BLRW that looked good, about 9 that I am not sure about, and 12 B/B/S Ameraucana that I'm not sure of either.

Anyone else on lockdown or have hatches starting yet?
