Setting and hatching in December? Come join us! - Holiday Season hatch-along

Okay now I have 3 eggs under a broody hen (she was a early summer hatched chick), And I have the rest of my eggs still in my incubator. Wish me luck on the broody. I'm hoping if she has a few hatch she'll just adopt the rest the babies that hatch.

Hatching weekly through the winter. Always have babies for sale. Hippie Chicks & Eggs Hereford, AZ. Check us out on Facebook

Lol...good to see you here Marine...and glad to see the lock after that last hatching disaster...well I am back and I have just bought myself my second Hovabator 1588... I now have two going in my kitchen...that is 50 silkie eggs...half due Dec 20 and the rest due Christmas eve...all black and splash...

Yeah it does. My last try at hatching there was an egg that had a crack. It made it all the way into lock down and didn't die til after i pulled it from the shell and saw it was deformed and i culled it. I don't suggest pulling a chick from it's shell but it was a week past due.

You put nail polish on and let it dry before putting it in the incubator. :)
Aww, the chick in my picture has a deformed top beak. Does the nail polish really work though? N aww poor baby
