Well I have a dozen collected to hatch from yesterday and this morning... hoping 20 by tonight. I have a friend with another 20 for sale I may run down the road to pick up.
I'm cleaning up the incubator today again just to make sure and getting in plugged in.

I'm joining the group!!!! I have a 1588 w/auto turner and am practicing its star up. Didn't read or notice the four holes in the bottom and proceeded to fill (I mean fill) the bottom with water, washing my floor and thinking it was already broken... My husband laughed.

So now its been on for 2 hours and the temp is right and and I now have it on a bath rug on two pieces of wood so that it is off the rug. Does that sound right?

We have marked the eggs with their date and an x and an o on each side and I put a T on the small end of each.

My understanding is to put the pointy end down in the turner. I am only going to do 24 the first try so is it best to spread them out all over the racks?

Thanks for any replies.

I wouldn't worry too much about the humidity until you lock them down on day 18, then raise it to 70 to 80%. Yes the pointy end goes down and I would spread them out so air will circulate around them better. Good luck!
