ok all. thank you. They are in the kitchen, we have a wood fireplace in this area so that the temperature is stable and we can watch it! And we spread out the eggs.

So you spread yours out. I have the same incubator with turner and placed all mine in the center (21 eggs). I think I will go spread mine out too.

I'm joining the group!!!! I have a 1588 w/auto turner and am practicing its star up. Didn't read or notice the four holes in the bottom and proceeded to fill (I mean fill) the bottom with water, washing my floor and thinking it was already broken... My husband laughed.

So now its been on for 2 hours and the temp is right and and I now have it on a bath rug on two pieces of wood so that it is off the rug. Does that sound right?

We have marked the eggs with their date and an x and an o on each side and I put a T on the small end of each.

My understanding is to put the pointy end down in the turner. I am only going to do 24 the first try so is it best to spread them out all over the racks?

If the eggs are going in a turner they dont need the x and o .Thats only if you are hand turning so you know you have turned them all the way each time.
I sort of do mine randomly in the turner but havent used it much ;Like mine laying down and hand turned not that its best ...just seems more naturall.They hatch both ways .
YOur humidity should be about 30-45 % not too high also Temp 99.5 as close as you can keep it I hope to set mine tomorrow Should arrive today...HOPE!
