Setting and hatching in December? Come join us! - Holiday Season hatch-along

I locked down 17 yesterday evening and woke up this morning to one Black Ameraucana hatched and no one else pipped. Seems like the Ameraucana eggs always hatch first and the Marans eggs hatch last. 42 more in the bator for 2 more December hatches.
Sure wish the rain would stop! I'm sooo tired of the mud.

My four that hatched in November are getting pretty big now... 2 boys and 2 girls.. they are about 8 weeks, i'm looking forward to some of my very own hatching eggs in a couple of months.!! The ones that hatched in December are doing OK, looks like lots of girls :D...!!!

You and me both. Im sure the horses are sick of sliding around in it too

All 3 pipped last night, tho I did punch through the membrane for the duck after it cracked the pip in the shell. Even at 80% humidity they were shrink wrapping this morning, so I've been wetting down the membranes by hand every couple of hours. The duck is clearly not ready to come out still alot of veining. The turkeys both had mostly absorbed the veining. Id expect them out in 24 hours or less an maybe 48 for the duck yet.

Still just the one has hatched and no pips in the others. I never did candle this set so that one might be all I get. I'm a lazy hatcher sometimes
