Setting Duck Eggs 4/4, anyone else with me?

How is everyone doing? We had another loss today. :( We are now down to 6 duck eggs. In my classroom we have 5 out of our 6 chicken eggs going strong. :) I have a student who just gets so excited every time we candle them. He just talks to them and coddles them. It's the sweetest thing.

I candled all 16 of my eggs (I threw one out yesterday) and one looks to be dead or defected? It looks very very strange, and when I moved the egg around, the blob of veins would move around too, but the other 15 eggs look fine!

I hatched 12 Ancona ducks & a scovy since Sunday, 4 pekins currently in lockdown & 6 chicks hatching in between with 2 more to go. The big batch of ducks isn't due until the 1st week of May & is staggered from May 2nd to May 7th.

I set 12 ancona eggs on 4/3, I'm in lockdown now, and barely able to stand myself - I run upstairs to check them about 18 times a day. I've got 2 that are pipped, and a few more that look like they're close. I can't wait to meet these adorable little ones!

I'm on day 17 (9 days left!) and all 16 eggs show movement, so that's great! My broody duck has at least 2 out of 5 eggs developing under her :D

I woke up this morning to a giant pip on one egg - I can actually see the little bill in there! I have to go to work for a few hours, so hopefully she'll make some progress while I'm gone.
