I don't know what you mean by a humidity pad, but I have good luck just adding a damp dish towel or wash cloth. I just lay it along the side of the incubator. If you place it near a vent you can re wet it without opening the incubator depending on what type you have. Good luck!!!
I have a sportsman 1502 cabinet and in the top by the fans there is a pan that holds the water when you go into lock down you are suppose to add this "pad" that is suppose to help raise the humidity.. well it didn't work.. but i closed off the other plug on the side so now they both are closed and one 1 plug in the back is opened.. then I added that said humidity pad in with the existing 2 regular large sponges then in the hatcher tray I added a plastic bowl with another bowl inside it full of sponges to help give the eggs a little moisture and hopefully prevent the peeps from drowning... I sure hope this works!! My humidity is now up to 70%
