eggorthechicken- the duck eggs are either a Rouen or Blue Swedish. Idk which duck laid the egg. The egg has like a blue tint to it.

How is everyone doing? I'm up to seven chicks now, and one more i fighting its way out of the shell right now. Three other eggs have pipped I think, I'll assess once I've had my coffee.

Although I intended to begin on the 28th, the postal service ran slow and I didn't get my eggs in until the 30th. That means today is day 20 for me. All of the eggs looked great with good movement when I put them in lockdown. But......nothing yet. Not a single pip. My nighttime temps keep dropping down to 95-96 and I know that's slowing them down.

Frustrated. Running out of patience.

But I am enjoying all of your fuzzy butt pics!

If the nighttime temp issue causes them to have hatching issues, at least that will be a good excuse to give DH for buying a better, and probably more expensive incubator!

It's Day 19 for me, but still no lockdown just yet. Still have some heavy eggs but everyone was moving around when I candled/weighed them last night.

I lost my backwards peep. Last night. I knew it would happen. And I had one die in the shell after peeping this morning Never had that happen before. But all the others are doing well.
