Setting eggs july 13 anyone else setting today, I need a buddy

OK, I added 12 Muscovy eggs to the incubator, so now I have 12 Muscovy, and 8 Silkies. Let the countdown begin!!! 20 days to go on the chickens, 27 for the ducks. Good luck all!!!

I set 12 store bought eggs in the skillet yesterday for my family to eat. They were good scrambled. LOL. Does this count for setting eggs?

Well it is the 15th and I decided to throw 2 eggs from hen in the bator with the others. I wanted to see if my young cockerel has fertilized any eggs yet. Anyone candle their eggs yet? I tried a few but I think another day or two I will see better, I have darker colored eggs.

I have a silkie that started sitting on the 13th on 3 of her eggs. Then today I put in 9 quail eggs to see if they would hatch.

I only put mine in yesterday and I candled them today just because I am new to this and was curious....I didn't see anything but not sure that I should. When should I look again to see if they are fertile??

i got about 60 eggs in my incubator about 15 silkies about 5 millefleur and 2 salmon favorolles

Thanks Chickinwing, I'll check again then. I do have splash marans eggs but they are not very dark so I think i'l be able to see everything just fine.

I can't wait to check mine to see if they are growing. I am going to test them in a few days my humidity is at 61% I hope that is good. I just got my tester today.

Well I checked my eggs this morning and I am seeing veins! So excited, but don't want to count my chickens before they hatch

I am having difficulty uploading pictures. I have uploaded them before, but I keep getting an upload error message. Is this happening to anyone else?
