YAHOO everybody! I put my eggs in the hatcher tonight. It's 10:30pm and I need to go to bed, school tomorrow! But I can't stop watching my eggs! Here is a picture of the awesome hatcher me and mom made out of an old aquarium

the temperature and humidity are a little low because I took the pic right after putting in the eggs. It is perfect now! I hope I can sleep tonight or I'm gonna be tired tomorrow! Think I better have some toast and cocoa to try to get sleepy. I will write more tomorrow to let you know if anything is happening. Congrats to everybody that has pips and stuff. Good luck!

P.S. If anybody wants to know how we made the hatcher just ask and I will tell you tomorrow. It was fun and pretty easy once we found all the stuff we needed. It was kind of like a treasure hunt figuring out what would work best. I think it turned out pretty good.

thats an awesome hacther--your mom is the best for helping you with that! my temp was 93 when I got up so Im realy bummed and hope it hasnt messed this hatch up too bad I hope it means it will only delay those babies comingout by a day or so!

I'm buying an LG to hatch in today because I have a staggered hatch. i was in the local farm store yesterday, Bucheits. they have chicks now and a pen with adult birds in it. Some one Paid them $ 20.00 for a buff orpington roo and $30.00 for a black sex link hen. I commented that I would like to get that kind of money for birds. they said the store would give me $10.00 for a roo and $15.00 for hens. Guess who's taking some chickens to the store today.

now I can get an incubator for hatching. right now I have all my eggs in one incubator but some are almost ready for lockdown and others aren't so this will make life simpler.
