How long should I "rest" shipped eggs?

WooHoo, got my splash JG eggs and got my silkie eggs and I'm supposed to wait till 9pm to put them in the bator (rest for 8 hrs after I got them) I am so excited. I keep looking at the clock!

My first time incubating eggs is set to hatch Feb 5th/6th. I'm only hatching 9 to start with in my homemade igloo bator.

ok once again I couldnt stand it and candled at day 4-I only tried to really look at my split lav slkies and from what I saw I have 3 out 5 so far forming-the other two Id say yes too by the shading going on but will know for sure when I truly candle on Thursday-all of them!!!

I see your bidding on the auction that is up? haha-my girls are now laying 1-3 eggs a day so its looks like there may be extras in that group that will go with them:)

Haha-Yah when I saw the veins I wanted to cry -again so happy...I just want to keeo incubating those buggers! I wont be selling anymore of those silkies after the next 2 auctions are over-Im stockpiling and having just a batch of silkies to hatch:) they stay small forever and can stay in the house longer:)

Well, I saw the ship date of 25 and figured those might be "my" eggs, lol since that was the week we talked about. Then, I thought about it and thought I should probably talk to you in case you placed that for someone else after I read the comments in the 24 hour auction chit chat thread. So I figured I'd just wait and see... Wasn't sure what to do. Got tired last night and forgot it....

Hi everyone, it's me Alex again. I don't have much news about my eggs because I can't candle until Thurs. I have had a stuffy head so I had mom turn my eggs so I wouldn't get germs on them. I keep hand sanitiser by the bater, but I don't want to breath on them.

Me and mom finished building the outside brooder for our baby chicks from Natalie. It turned out awesome! We got sick of the dust in the house so they live outside now. We still hold them and play with them every day. We made a big brooder, it is about 4 feet x 2 feet x 2 feet high. We made them their own run too, it's small about 3 feet x 2 feet. We put a roost in the brooder too, about 6 inches up and they look funny lined up on it with the 3 smallest ones under it! They think they are big chickens now! They are scratching in the dirt and everything. We built it by the big run so they can all see each other and make friends. 10 chicks sure eat alot when they are 3 weeks old!

That is all my news for now. I will post when I finally get to candle.
