Setting eggs on Thurs. Nov. 10th - Any buddies? Hatch due Dec. 1st

Am quite dizzy with anticipation. I'm hatching under my broody Cecelia, so only candled twice as was distressing for her. On the other hand, she seems quite ok with my 2 or 3 visits a day with little treats; just tiny bits as I still want her stepping out to stretch legs, use the loo and have a drink! I did have a problem with another hen going broody and wanting to steal Cecelia's eggs; felt very mean but have had to put her in a small coop to stop this. I let her and friend hen out during the day to free range away from C. For the first time today, am leaving C. to spend the night alone which I guess she may prefer, and the other two are in the small coop. Now for the babies!!!!?!!! Good luck to you all ;-)

well i got home last night and was 'as sick as a dog' all weekend...but this morning at 6am I put my eggs into lockdown...I had 9 that were not fertile out of 24... so I have 15 Catdance silkie eggs in lockdown...

I hope you are feeling better! I have 13 catdances, 4 simplysplendids, 4 jlynns in lockdown.

. I hope for a 100% hatch on all of these!

Yes I am thanks..100% better today...I think i am going to have Wednesday off work so i can be at home for some hatches...I'm really hoping for a lavender, paint and a black at least...oh and the whites...I love the whites...but splash is my favortie...lol...i will be happy with any...

I will have the plastic wallered off my bator before this is through! You sound like me, "oh I hope for the partridge, but I really like the white, but I want some lavenders, and I NEED some buffs!"

Lol it goes on and on!

I have some chicks hatching now and I put another batch in lockdown today. The hatcher is ready.

Yes I also had food poisoning which started saturday night and ended today...

nothing like throwing up on a plan on your way home...

Back to our soon to be babies...I just had my first pip

does this make me the first for our thread? It is on a porcelain silkie egg...
