Setting Eggs Saturday April 20... anyone else?

I had some eggs rocking this morning. I set my eggs 7pm on 4/19 so locked them down last evening.

oh soo lucky... nothing on mine yet. I am starting to loose hope betwen the high temps and the humidity tha i cant get right!! i dont know why all of a sudden my incubtor is wacky...

anyway - keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!!

Somebody's pipped! I can't tell who, so it must be toward the underside. I only know because a tiny piece of shell is floating in the water channels under the grid. Wish I had put pencilled bignumbers on their sides - I can't tell who is who on their sides.

At least 4 of my eggs have been rocking a lot and one is even externally pipped! So exciting

I candled tonite. No one has pipped internally yet, but it looks close. All I can do is sit and wait.

Okay, text from hubby when I was one the way home, read by my 11yr old son, "ummm, honey, we've got chicks!!! Well one chick and another one kind of breaking out!" Now we have 5 out and tumbling around! I am so excited. It is my first time incubating eggs. They are early, but seem fine so far. What kind of problems could they have coming early? (I counted and recounted, so I know their projected hatch rate was right. )

I am jealous of everyone pipping/hatching. I had 43 eggs sat the 19th and had great 7 day candle, only 1 infertile. Needless to say between then and now we lost power 1 day for 4 hrs then 6 hrs again. I was hoping to hear/see something but haven't. Occupied my time with a DIY incubator project I made. It was ok until I moved it RIGHT NEXT TO the other bator. So now I have to check every time I go downstairs. Which is for a brooder full of pullets ready to go outside, temp/humidity checks on new bator full of eggs and just cuz chicken math don't add up right so I need to count my chicks before they hatch, and find a way to sneak in the differance w/o wife finding out.

I get winded. Why I posted is cuz I don't have any pippers yet or sound. But waiting it out til Sat at least.

My RIR's eggs hatched today 8/9 one did not make it, I am hoping she stays on for one more week, when she went broody I stuck 3 duck eggs under her, but I have a bator running just in case

When I candled just before lockdown, it didn't look like the chicks were taking up the whole shell yet. I could see movement, so maybe mine are going to be a little late.
