My Maran's eggs came this morning! Now I'm wondering how long to let them sit before putting them into the bator..thinking later tonight I will put them in.
I have another bator wiating for some Welsummers and Ameraucans'. Going to have a few birds laying for me this spring.
I am ahead of you AND I'll be behind you, too. Got eggs hatching all this month and I'm refilling the 'bators as they become available.
I can't stop! The hatching addiction has taken too strong a hold on me!
I have chicks hatching today and some in four more days and some a week from now and some in 18 days.
When I left for work this morning (Tuesday), there were four little French Black Copper Marans chicks already hatched and looking at me through the incubator dome. And one sleeping, newly hatched Salmon Favorelle in another small incubator.
I've got SEVEN incubators going right now... four holding 7 eggs, and 3 holding 20 eggs.
I set 12 Khaki Campbell eggs on 10/11/10. I am using a lg9800.
Not sure what kind of fertility I will get as my drake has only been with the girls
for a little more than 3 weeks and the girls were not very nice to him at first.
I did see him mount a couple of them so

you're a horder lol, my dad keeps telling me don't become a chicken hoarder, I only have 4 hens, 2 eggs under a broody and 12 in the bator +19 quail eggs they don't count do they?
I don't hatch my own, but I delivered my eggs to a friend with an incubator on the 11th. Sixteen black rosecomb eggs, three or four bantam white rocks, two blue gold duckwing x silver duckwing OE bantams, and 8 EE's. All are mine except I ordered the black rosecomb eggs.
Am waiting for a hatch on the 21st of lavender bantam cochins, of six eggs so far five look good. They were also ordered eggs. Can't wait to see them!!
