Setting eggs today 5/31/11

I put whatever was given to me! I think they are mixed EE or will be EEs with the blue egg gene from the male. I know the person who gave them to me has EE and wyandotte males and ee females and seramas and more. There is one blue egg and many brown, all different sizes. Can't wait to see what peeps out.

I candled one of the Pheasant eggs yesterday and saw some veining...

I just candled.....I have 14 with movement, 6 with veins but no movement, and 1 blood ring....not too bad....

I put my 4 Ameraucana eggs in lockdown this morning, woot woot!

My chicken knocked another egg out so she is down to 11 which is, I'm sure, far more than enough should they actually all hatch. She's doing well. I hope she keeps up the good work.

I candled again tonight and I can actually see moving babies in some of the eggs. Some of the others I can't see much in but I think I see veining. My green eggs I can't see through at all they are way too dark to see anything so I am going to have to just cross my fingers and hope for the best with them. I think only 2 aren't viable at this point but not sure I might see veining but no baby in those. I am definitely not good at candling yet.

i have 4 eggs under a broody that i set on 5/31 and then another 4 under another broody that i set 6/1 both are bantam silkie hens and all 8 are some of my Standard silkie eggs
