Setting eggs tomorrow, anyone want to join?

I put all of mine out with my 3 week olds today, in my outdoor "chick" coop. I have a divider between them for now. I got 21 total out of 24 viable eggs :) I was surprised at how many I got and honestly didn't have room in the house for them. I have some ISA brown pullets out there along with 7 from an earlier hatch. Eventually I will introduce them once they are bigger and not so sleepy :)

wow that is a fabulous hatch rate. I have 2 out so far and 3 pips, nothing zipping, and 5 that are doing nothing. I so want one of my Polish eggs to hatch!!!

are they the crested polish? I really want some of those, they look like rock stars! I hope they hatch for you.

It's in the same category as the "smiley face" icon. The one at the very left that looks like a picture, right next to the video icon.

Thanks, that stuff comes up on my home computer. Now I might even get an avatar pic.

Here's my try at pics

Yes my hen is a white crested blue Polish. Her egg just hatched and the chick so far shows no crest

and its solid brown, so I am confused. But I have 2 more pipping

This is my hen

The "crested" gene doesn't show up in 100% of offspring, like the bearded gene. It should if a crested is bred to a crested, but if it's bred to a non-crested there's a 50-50 chance.

*Update*

The one egg that my broody had didn't hatch. The feed store is getting more chicks on Friday, so I think I'll just buy a few and give them to her.
