setting eggs tonight!! anyone else?

Tell them to come encourage mine on as well !
<big sigh>
I'm tempted to float test my eggs, as if none of the 6 are going to hatch, we have a chance to pick up some chicks today

Are none of them showing signs of life? :(

I'm glad there are other options! I hope you have some chicks by the end of the day! :)

I'm at Day 20, with my very first incubation. Not a rock, or a cheep, or a pip to be seen.
At my last candle (day 18-before lockdown) I had movement in all 9 eggs.

I'm impatiently waiting for a little sign of life in there.

And now I have cheeping!

Woohoo!

I did it- quickly float tested them. I read up on the float thread here on BYC.

One floated low, three floated without movement, and two floated and rocked around just a little bit.
I have hope!
So, I'm putting off going to buy chicks today- I REALLY want these blue laced wyandotte babies!!!

for AngelaPenny and 1Keegan. Hope you guys have chicks busting out all over today!!!

Layna, you sure had an exciting hatch. I think you should buy your own incubator and join the Easter-Hatch-Along.

I have about 6 eggs left in the bator that I don't have much hope for, but they can stay for the day and 2 chicks are still drying in there. Here is what is in the brooder

I did a float test last spring and one sunk, I opened it & it had a live chick in it, I was SO sad. I wouldn't crack anything open until day 23 (unless it stinks), just to be safe.

My middle of the night check had 2 chicks in the bator & this morning there are 5! Several zips & pips & wobbling eggs with no cracks (I worry about these the most!).

I just might do that. I need an incubator anyway and the Little giant is obviously working fine for me! 17 so far!! :D

Woot!! What cuties!

I have one that has made a hole and quit trying to hatch, just like my RIR did last night before he died. :\ I'm thinking about helping him out. I don't want that to happen again.
On the bright side my other RIR has hatched!
