dak patience is not something I'm good at either. But it can take 20 min. from pip to hatch or it could take 24 + (I get worried at this point) from pip to hatch. OR any where in between. keep an eye on those 2 they may zip and hatch in a blink, their saving all their energy for that moment.

eastin you said it "Omg this is so fun and stressful and... just... WOW!!" that is the truth.

this was my 2nd hatch in a month. I've now gotten my hatching fix. I'm done for a while. that 21 days is a killer for me.

Congrats on the pips guys.

I have to move the ones I have out into the temp. brooder. Nothing on my remaining three eggs yet.

They could be resting Dak, hang in there!!!

I can answer the next Q, if you hold the egg to ur ear and you hear "peep" you know that it is internaly piped. I guess it doesn't peep unless it's into the air sac. also when ur at day 23+ and you candle to see if anyone else may gonna be hatching, you would see the beak piped in the air sac.

curious Eastin how were ur eggs set during incubation and lock down?

Resting, schmesting, if its not out at 24 hours, I'm intervening. These poor eggs came all the way from Fla. to NM. I've had to c-sec my dobes. Nothing worse than operating on your own dog. No sense in letting something die, since in was likely my incubator inexperience that caused the problem.

I'll shut up now. Lack of sleep makes me cranky, sorry!
