Setting my eggs tonight (April 10) Any tips?

We have 1 chick hatched out all of the way for sure!! It is an ee and a second ee is almost all of the way out!! So they are 2 for 3 so far which is great because last year the ees didn't hatch. We only have 1 ee hen, we lost the other to a fox last year along with 11 other hens and our rooster. Also, 1 of the maran eggs is pipped and working hard on zipping with lots to say about it! I can't see much else but they are under a broody and I obviously didn't want to take her off the nest.

We have 2 chicks out now. An ee and a cuckoo maran with another maran pipped and an ee zipping. So exciting! The kids are loving it!! So is the momma, Scrunchie!!

Well, I contacted the breeder of the eggs I purchased. She said that if they don't hatch she'll give me another set of eggs to replace them.

No, Mine didn't do a thing on day 20. They can hatch out later than 21 days.

Okay, thanks for the reassurance. Hope the rest of your eggs hatch out.

The last silkie egg hatched so that's good.

I have 3 EE eggs left that haven't done anything, but we will wait and see on those. So the total tally as of now is....8 silkie chicks, and 1 EE chick. When the little one dries off, I'll move those to the temporary brooder while we wait and see on the last 3 eggs. I'm not complaining though, 9 out of 12 isn't bad.
