Setting new eggs! They're hatching!! And I needa little help...

Oh Cherie!

Why worry about the hatch, what happens happens. You do the best you can and mother nature does the rest. Now it's not like I don't check the bater temp and humidity at least three times a day, but that said, I'm not even going to candle for the first 14 days. At that point, if I have clears then they weren't meant to be. Eggs are fun but not the most serious thing in life.........

Yeah, it's alright, I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I've had lots of successful hatches before, so if this one is poor, I'll know that it was just the age of the eggs. This is my first hatch of serama eggs for my new "business", so it would be nice if this was a good one.

My Sportsman has been awesome. Third day, never has wavered from 99.5 degrees. Stays spot on 43% humidity. I played with it before setting and if I put in a wick it would go to about 64% so I know at lockdown I'll be in safe margins.

I should have been setting 6 blue jersey giant eggs but my broody has had a change of heart and does not want to sit. No room in the incubator due to 11 chocolate orpingtons and 3 goose eggs taking up all the room

not sure what to do now lol

Day 12 today and I finally decided to candle the silkie eggs. Looks like from the 7 I have 4 that are definately developing, 1 is a definate dud. I don't plan on candling again, just wait to see the outcome. My eggs are shipped so I am not expecting great outcomes in the first place. The pheasant eggs that I was supposed to get the day before but came late are now going to be subjected to lockdown humidity on their 10th day of incubation. Not the ideal situation.

I candled about 20 of the 70 Pheasant eggs today. Saw some blanks and some that look like they had started veining and quit and some movement in others.
