Setting new eggs! They're hatching!! And I needa little help...

Well, I put 4 confirmed alive Ameraucana eggs and 1 confirmed alive Welsummer and a couple of questionable Welsummers. So out of a total of 16 Ameraucana and 8 Welsummer eggs, I have maybe 5 that will hatch. Maybe. Because I pulled a major bonehead move, and it's possible that none of my eggs will hatch. Got all the eggs put into lockdown about 7 o'clock, then walked away. Went back in just a few minutes ago, and the temp was only 85 degrees!! The still air incubator has not wavered on the temps this whole time, and the water I put in was warm, so why after 2.5 hours would it still be 85 degrees?! Then I realized that one of the clear plastic windows had fallen out of the incubator lid. *sigh* I wonder if any of the little peeps will hatch now.

locked mine down tonight, holding nice and steady at 100F and 62%. Candled last night and slipped and cracked an egg that had movement. Didn't break the membrane, just the shell. I slapped a piece of tape over the crack, no leakage so I'm hoping that little fuzzy but can hold out and make it.

Congrats, Austin!

None of my eggs in the incubator have pipped, and given my tremendous screw up on lockdown day, I'm not sure any will. But my broody mama hatched out three chicks, so I'm taking solace in that.
