Setting new eggs! They're hatching!! And I needa little help...

This morning I had one hatched, then came home this afternoon and have 9 hatches, two zipped that I can see and one pipped. Can't see in the top tray as the cover obscures the view but I can see feathers moving around and hear the chirping. I won't open it for another day at least to give the slower ones a chance to get out. Saturday I placed about 220 eggs in the incubator for various people.

I have two babies now, and four more eggs have made cracks in the shells.

The first has its umbilical chord still attached to it, which is making it drag around the shell. It looks dry, can I cut it so he can get around better?

Well, of the 24 eggs I had set in the hatcher unit, 21 made it out of the shell and are alive and chirping. One had a bit of shell stuck to it, got the big pcs off, the small ones I left. Kept the 3 other eggs in the hatcher for another day, we'll see what happens with them. Good luck to everyone else, I figure 21 of 24 isn't to bad of odds.
