Setting new eggs! They're hatching!! And I needa little help...

I'm using a Sportsman 1502 from GQF, then on lockdown I move them over to a Sportsman 1550 hatcher. The day after I moved these over to the hatcher I set a little over 200 eggs in the incubator, not all mine, a few friends wanted to drop in some eggs. I can handle 288 without stacking the trays, so I had plenty of room.

200?! Wow! You're gonna have chickies coming out your ears! Sounds like fun!

We had another little guy/gal hatch last night! Yippee!!

How long does it take them to get fluffy? The one who hatched yesterday evening still looks pretty wet.

I left them all in the hatcher overnight but it's forced air so it gives them a blow dry. When I took them out last night, they were all fluffy and active. Opened the 3 eggs that didn't hatch, all were early quitters for whatever reason.

I ended up with 8 out of 12. Im satisfied with that. One has a messed up leg, but it's managing getting around fairly well. Ive got.it seperated with one other chick for now..

Well my 5 blue jersey giants tried to hatch this morning, one was out and drying and another was dead, squashed in the egg, I think she stood on it. I gave the broody the benefit of the doubt and left the chick and 3 eggs with her. Well, an hour later another egg was crushed but alive, very quickly fired up the r com and took the eggs away. CHecked on her again and the chicks head is slightly bleeding so I took that away too. So far I have 3 chicks and one to hatch. I so prefer incubator hatching.
