I love your idea. Anxious to hear how it works for you. Good job keep those Cornish X going, I never had the guts to try. (only been raising them for two seasons though!) Maybe this year, you've inspired me.

I think the thing that kept these big girls alive is that after 8 weeks they were only free ranged, not fed any supplemental feed at all. They are 10 or 11 months old now and I don't think they will make it to 18, but I have four really big chicks in the bator! My goal is to get a dozen
