From what I could see it was the only dark spot. More like a shadow on the big end. Monday will be day 4 so I was going to candle them on on Tuesday to see if I could tell any difference.

You will notice a lot of change in two days with the ones that are *good*. They will get distinct veining and you'll know for sure which are growing and which are not. Good luck!Ok I could not keep my hands off and glad I didn't. The one that had the loose air sac looked like it has started leaking. It was removed. All the rest look the same. some of the lighter ones I thought I could see some veining. So anxious to see what they look like on Tuesday to see if they change.
Day three is pretty early even if you've hatched a few times. I took a quick look at a couple of mine last night (Day 3) and saw what *might* be veining. Day 5 or 7 will make things SOOOOO much easier to see. Give them another couple days and try again. You'll see veins in the developing ones by thenOk, I'm on day three and I don't see anything... Is it just to early or should I be worried that my egg just aren't fertile?? I am using something like a mini maglight and I figure it's bring enough as I can tell where the yolk is, but maybe I should try using something else?
I set 6 eggs last Monday night at 11:30 PM, all are from my flock, 4 stored at room temp and 2 from the refrigerator.Ok, I'm on day three and I don't see anything... Awwww, that is a shame that it was trying to grow. Sounds like it might have had a tiny crack you couldn't see. That is great that you still have 14 to go thoughI cracked open the egg that had been weeping. It took me all day to get the nerve up. It had a perfect spider shaped veins in the yolk. Made me question whether I made the right choice to pull it out. The white looked really runny and had bubbles in it like it had been shaken. It was sitting big end up so the small end had the crusty drops on it and there was a spot in the carton. Anyway, I am down to 14 eggs.
