That is when they officialy hit the incubator on 4/25 at 0900. I wish it did work that way. Pip @ 0900 and zip @ 0930.

For sure now, 8 yolk eggs with no development at all. 3 eggs develop spider veins but then decide to quit. All I have left is one little egg with the very active black spot. What is the chance of the guy hatching and surviving with no other chicks? Do I have to go out and buy a playmate?

So I want to share candling pictures from Days 10 and Days 14. Unfortunately, I am not able to get the little photos to cooperate and upload to this site, so I am linking this to where I was able to upload.

for day 10, I put a picture of a yolker, an early quitter and a day 5 or 6 quitter along with a picture of a developing porous egg.

for day 14, I put a picture of a developing porous egg and some developing eggs that were not as porous. It is so much easier to tell if they are fertile and still growing if they are not porous.

So all my eggs are showing some good signs!

There are still a couple I'm questioning tho. But so far seeing good results!!

Yeah!!!!! Nice to hear others are going to have a great hatch. I am planning to get more eggs after the Memorial Day weekend, won't be as many as 49 eggs, maybe just 2 dozens and hoping for at least 4 chicks. I wonder why some just stop during the development.

Candled on Day 10 and culled 6 eggs with blood rings and early death, or just yolk. Have 8 left with 5 being movers/good veins, 1 very porous, but can just barely see veins and 1 pretty sure is done, but shell is too dark to be sure. So really I am down to maybe 6 out of the original 15 shipped eggs. Temps and humdity have been steady. Half way to something hatching...I hope. Loved the candling pics. I have to figure out how to add pictures on this site.

Is this a computer or an incubator in the pic????
