Setting up the bator and setting shipped eggs this week....anyone else wanna join?

Hey Vicki! Thanks for the quick response. So kind of like what I do with seedlings when I harden the off. Easy enough!
Ahhhhh - there's a pip! Now how will I get my chores done....

Stephen and I got home just in time for me to watch the first pipper unzip and hatch! OMG, so thrilled to see it happen! Noisy little bugger! And yes, it's a roo BSL, clearly white strands on its damp head. Maybe when it dries, it won't be so white, lol? Pretty sure it's a boy though. Two more pips. We'll see how long I can stay up... I got to see a chick hatch, yay!

How exciting...congrats!! I'm so glad you got to see one hatch!!! It is so sweet to watch them push their way out of the egg into the world. Maybe it will be a pullet

I just discovered another roo in my group...just great! I have a chicken friend coming to pick him up tomorrow. He takes all of my baby roos...thankfully! He is bringing me two pullets to replace....one is a SLW! Can't wait!

We are home tonight watching an HBO movie....relaxing evening!

I want a friend like yours!!! I finally listed my extras on Craigs list for free with the hopes they would act like they were going to be pets and not stew pots (although I am a realist and have 4 in my freezer right now)...and lo and behold, I got rid of 3 to people who wanted them for their flock! My phone started ringing at 6:45! Crazy people! I have 2 more pre-crowing juveniles to rehome...

Oh I was just teasing....they were great pictures really....very jealous here in Colorado. We go from freezing our tail feathers off to being so hot you want to stand in the freezer....no happy mediums anymore!
I've noticed the eggs have tilted up just a bit (large end) so I'm taking that as a good sign. Hard to hear when anything may happen as the heater motor cycles a constant hum.....but I'll still be trying anyway. Humidity is holding at 65%. Temp is between 99.6 - 99.8.

Oh I sure hope so!! I'm a first time hatcher here, so I don't really know what to expect except for what I've read and from videos I've watched.

I'm as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs!!

That's nervous laughter! I definitely need to get back outside and work on the coop....and guess when the weather is supposed to be decent again? Yeah. TUESDAY. Day 21.
