severe case of bumble foot?

my friend just called me up and asked me to take in this female chicken. she is young. he just noticed today that both of her feet are badly infected. i have dealt with things like this but not exactly. she is unable to walk but eating and drinking fine. should i wrap the feet and if so with what? any suggestions would be VERY much appreciated. thanks!!

Oh, poor girl. The first thing I would do is soak her feet in some warm water and epsom salt to see what you're dealing with. Leave her there for 20 minutes if you can.

Soemone else may know better, but that looks like severe frostbite to me. I think the black toes are essentially dead and will probably fall off. Maybe soak the feet? Do they smell rotten?

Oh gosh, that does look like it may be the case. Especially where the toes are completely separate from the foot.

They do smell rotten. they are essentially completely rotted I highly doubt they will remain functional. I will soak them in warm water should I add epsom salts too?

Yup that also appears to be frostbite to me as well.

update: i soaked them in just water as i don’t have what they suggested on that site but will get it tomorrow. a few large chunks of poop came off but some did not and I don’t want to mess with it too much and hurt her so I will wait on the rest of that for tomorrow. Thank you all so so much!!! i will keep you updated on how she does
