FInally got my space set back up for sewing and longarming after shuffling things around to make my temp photo studio. Itching to get humming along again and do some more dye projects.

But seriously I do love it and enjoy it although I haven't touched it as much since my grandmother passed away.
She is the one who taught me originally and who inwas always excited to share my projects with, and with summer it's harder to sit and sew with the littles always wanting to be outside.
I'm sure I'll get my footing again because I do truly love it.

Grandmother taught me to quilt by hand on a loom .. I do miss her a great deal she raised me from 3 to 8 years...
I have white sewing Machines older than she was.

Being able to sew all or most of my clothes is a goal for me. I’m an odd size and it’s difficult to find clothes but that also makes it hard to find patterns. I have learned to make alterations to existing clothing though!

I am not sewing much even though I am stockpiling fabric - and books on how to alter patterns for a perfect fit. Go figure.

I most often end up using an existing piece of clothing as a template or making alterations to existing items cloths so that they fit better. I actually spent part of yesterday tightning sleeves on some new bathing suits. I haven’t really done any projects lately. I have done some small repair work but that’s about it.
