Not sure exactly why it behaves like it does.
I've messed with them a few times. Some times it does work but more often then not it didn't so well.
Imo it's not reliable enough.

Interesting. I have more in the incubator now so I’ll see what happens but looks like I’ll be in the market for a new rooster soon
