Sex predictions please.

Hello, I'm brand new here, though I've dipped in and out as a lurker many times over the years. Great forum

I wondered if anyone would be kind enough to give their opinion of the sex of my 8 week (just over) chick. I was leaning towards pullet, probably because that's what I hope she/he is, but the comb seems very pink to me. Stature tall, but placid and friendly in nature. Definitely progeny of my dark brahma bantam cockerel, mum is one of my Marans (could be copper, cuckoo or hybrid bluebell).

BBB - Beautiful (mostly) Brahma Boy.

Keep him and cross him back to Brahma pullets to get the size back up. You would need Brahma stock though.

You might get some dark brown or speckled eggs with the BCM from the progeny, but the main purpose would be big friendly chickens and meat.

Well, looks like a pea comb, pullets will have one row of bumps, cockerels 3 rows. Can be hard to tell until about 10-12 weeks. I would guess pullet at this point, but on the fence! Beautiful bird!

The rust color on the wings makes me think cockerel

Not familiar with the breed, but at 8 weeks old (2 months), and waddles are already forming, I'm thinking you have a cockerel.

Thanks for all the responses. Now he/she is about 14 weeks old. I'm still not sure what we have!!! I'm still leaning towards cockerel. I've tried to get a pic of the comb and tail, also a pic with his/her father.
