Hello all.
All but 1 of the 10 koekoek chicks I bought died. I have no idea why and the breeder that sold them to me refused to even answer his phone or come to the gate after he heard they died.
I have no idea if they where sick or what, but the last one (Flo) is doing well and has doubled in size.
Someone heard of my misfortune and gifted me with four chickens they said where pullets, but I'm not so sure. I'm thankful but I cant have a cockerel, so of they are I need to get rid of them. Maybe the people who gifted me with them will swap them, but I want to be sure before I go and ask to swap.
Unfortunately I have no idea what chickens they are since they come from a farm school. People have gifted the school with chickens and they have been breeding all over the place, so i'm sure that these chickens are mixed breeds.
I suspect that the two on the left are cockerels and the two on the right are hens. Only one of them is laying at the moment.
I would appreciate an educated answer
