I got chicks from a local feed store, they were straight run bantams and they are now old enough to start sexing them, so I’ve labeled suspected breeds/colors and colored in the top right corner of each with suspected gender(pink for girls, blue for boys)

5 weeks in a little too early, I don't see obvious cockerels at this point
Oh- I was told that 5 weeks isn’t too early. Someone else told me that the ‘pointier’ combs were pullets and the ‘globy’ combs are cockerels.

It's about the earliest unless you can tell if you have a very developed cockerel, which you don't. Waiting a few more weeks will weed out the late bloomers. The comb thing is a old wives tale.
I agree, (for now) you have pullets.

I have some chicks that are two weeks younger and a couple of their combs are about twice as red as these so that might be an accurate guess.

Here’s them at 6 weeks old now. I’m starting to really worry about the d’uccle, I think it might be a cockerel.
