Sexing my Barred Rock chick

Anyone else have an opinion?

At the moment, it appears to be a pullet. I'm going mostly on the deep black color of its down. You must go by down color plus leg color plus head spot. Though the head spot is large, it is rather contained. And it has some leg wash as well, plus it's very black. Cockerels will appear more washed out black than deep, dark black.

This link is good for Barred Rocks, Cuckoo Marans and Dominiques and has very good photos.

This is the first and last chick we will ever hatch out so I am thrilled it's a girl!!!! and I get to keep her.We bought the other three from the feed store for company.

I really hate to muddy the waters, but here goes:

Now that this chick is older, there is something about the "barring" that isn't truly barring, as well as a pretty large comb, which makes me think it could be a crossbreed cockerel. Time will tell, of course, but those cross-cockerels can look like badly barred BR pullets at the beginning. The barring is highly incomplete on the body and very "crowded" on the chest.

In the first pic, in the area just before the tail, I see some brown/coppery coloring--that is not supposed to be on ANY pure BR, but it is sometimes found on a black sex link cockerel or other BR cross bird.

I'm not saying I'm 100% sure one way or the other, though. Is there any pink in the comb? Can't tell due to glare in the photos.
