Little Roughian, in your post #62 above,your 4th pic directly under the name of Penelope shows the barring on her side is not distinct anymore.And the first pic of Peyton and Penelope together you can still see tons of barring on Peytons outermost part of the wing feathers.More than on Penelopes.But then the pic under that with both having outstrectched wings Penelope still has barring much more noticable.You will need to keep the pics coming as they keep growing for sure.

French - That's what I mean about the flash... when you see them in person its pretty apparent Penelope looks darker and has less barring. Half of my pictures make her look like a midget boy. But again with these I will continue posting pictures so maybe there will be a definitive, or it will help someone else who wants to know what they have.

I'd really like to buy a house already so I can build a mini pea palace... not as many as you... but a few! When I do can I have a Thang baby? with a little less... would you call it personality?!?!

I still have a few "Thangsters" left from this year.He sired 2 all white chicks,Mmmaddie13 got 1 and I think I have 5-6 left from him.Only,ONLY good thing about that pen is all parents carries 1 copy of white,I'm not crazy about his pied pattern as I have several otherpieds that look and act better than Thang.I can look and see whats left and what I want to keep if your serious,but you will need to quarantine these chicks,,no Thangettes needs to be left in the wild or allowed to free range.They may set back peafowl genetics for decades to come.
Forgot to add I do have the first peachick from Thang,,almost looks like Thang,,is a pied,has several white feathers across the back and all white flights.

Well it won't be too soon. We are still in the hunt for a home, it's a bigger pain as we are apparently looking for more than we originally thought... Combining 2 people who's families are farmers is a pain haha. But I already said I need space for my horses and a few peas!

ok so I'm slow with the 12 wk pictures of Mr. Sheldon. This week he decided the light on my camera for the flash was going to kill him. For the past 11 wks he survived and showed no fear... hes so dramatic about things!

Here are the wee peas at 6 wks... Super confused on Penelope. In person looks more like a girl, on camera a boy unless the flash is off, and I think (not sure) she has one little green feather on her neck... Will the girls get some iridescent feathers too?? Peyton has some coming in but he is all boy. Very tough, needs to know whats happening, very brave kid. Plus he must announce whenever anything happens to the world.
