That's a cute silkie mix roo! Since he's half silkie, that would explain the small comb and wattles and docile personality.

Here is a few pics of saddle feathers so you can see what to look for. Saddle and hackle feathers are long and very thin compared to the rest of the bodys feathers. they also tend to be shiny in comparison.

You said he kept hiding behind the other birds. The opposite of aggressive->docile. Docile doesn't necessarily mean friendly!
