Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

One of the nameless one billion battery chickens that die each year in the UK because of peoples demand for chicken eggs died this morning sometime after 6.30 am.
But, this hen wasn't nameless. She was called Lima.

My sympathy to you as I know how you cared for her.
 
Called the vet office again this morning. They said the culture results should be back Monday. Just hope Skeksis has a few more days left in her until we can get the right meds. She is still largely immobile.

I was wondering why there were very few tinted eggs recently, since the Swedish Flowers seem to be in good health, and assumed the regime change had thrown them off laying. But no. The pullets (1st birthday in a couple of weeks) have been taking lessons from Polka :th and evidently Dyffryn's been at it too :rolleyes:
