Good morning! I dont believe this thread was listed in the 'favorite thread poll' but it should be and is one of my favorites. Thank you for all you do.

Bernie looking for bugs in the evening. There are LOTS of bugs in the evenings at the moment so that keeps her very busy.

I think it's going to work with Chirk He got chased twice (as far as I know) during the day, but the other roos' aim seems to be (as their predecessors' have been) just to drive him away, not to pursue and hurt him if he runs away. So when most of the flock had returned to their coops to roost, I found him foraging in the paddock, and he gladly ate the pocketful of mealworms I had with me, and he was still there when I returned with a bowl of food for him. And shortly after finishing that he made his way back to the trampoline, and went to bed in his bin. Hopefully his recovery will continue; he certainly gets more exercise and better forage this way.

Not sure I understand.
She is in long grass looking down into her own shadow to look for bugs. I am standing so am above her.
I am not seeing whatever you are thinking is a pond or mirror.
In case it helps, here she is a second later when she lifted her head.

There is much fluff under her but in the first photo, that I thought it was a mirrored image.
My chickens don't have so much fluff.

Ooooh, the Badonkadonk. My white leghorns had those
