Missed the rain by about half an hour.
. Seven hours today.
There have been some posts on how oddly chickens can behave. What I've found is they change over time, like us I imagine, change driven by experience.
I've been enjoying watching Mow's interaction with the chicks. I think the probably only female chick and Mow may become friends. Carbon and Fret have been friends for years and while they're treating Mow more and more like an adult, they don't really qualify as friends.
This is the female chick.
"Watch out! Carbon is coming!"

Seriously, two stick geese herding is one of those must have skills. You don't need to touch them with the sticks, just having the sticks held out in a V at their eye level guides them along nicely if one goes steady.
