Sorry to hear you lost some of your birds. I know I'm still not over the loss of Skeksis, and it's been over 14 months now. I keep having dreams that she's still alive.

They're beautiful. Lots of single-combed chipmunks!fair enough! The co-brooded chicks are 4 wks old today, but the weather is awful still, so some from last week will have to do. None are showing any sign of red yet... View attachment 3939061

SorryWednesday afternoon, around 5pm, we had a fox attack. Two birds taken. Erica, a young Tsouloufati hen, and Lady Gaga, the serama rooster. I thought that there was a third one gone, but I just didn't count correctly
All the birds have been inside for the last couple of days, not sure how much longer I should be keeping them inside; they're not happy to say the least.
Both Lady Gaga and Erica will be missed, Lady Gaga especially by me and all his hens. He was a really good boy. His whole group will surely miss him. Erica will be missed the most by her best friend and sister, those two were always together. She was an easy going girl, and a really good flier.
A sort of tax if you will, my favourite photo of each bird. View attachment 3939327Lady Gaga, posing with his daughters in the back. The splash girl I still have. She's the Ocean, the one who is co-mothering Ubon. View attachment 3939328Erica, this was a photo taken on her first birthday. She always liked to forage under shrubs

So sorry to hear that; they were beautiful. How are you? It is deeply upsetting in my experience and takes me longer to get over than it seems to the flock.Wednesday afternoon, around 5pm, we had a fox attack. Two birds taken. I don't think you will "get over it" but at some point thinking or dreaming about her will become less painful and sad and feel more of nostalgic good memories.Sorry to hear you lost some of your birds. that's great advice. People round here shoot them too.I would be especially careful at dawn and dusk and also try to introduce new things, or move things around- wild life is weary of new and changes.
