For most people who eat a balanced diet and get some exercise daily there should be absolutely no need to take any supplements and if they do take any then it is worth taking a proper supplement rather than the stuff the supermarkets sell. You guys have got me worried. I have never taken any supplements. Well I often do Vitamin C & zinc when a cold starts. You all seem like healthy eaters - why the need for extra?
Genuine question - worried I should be taking stuff!
Most of these health things like organic food and food supplements are not going to make the slightest difference to your health but will empty your pockets rather quickly.
Extra vitamin C may help combat the winter bugs, at least the recovering from them.
I take the one pill for the vitamin D boost mainly. The cod liver oil is a habit from childhood.
If one has a particular health concern then the right supplement may help but otherwise what most of these health additives/products are designed to empty the pockets of people who don't have a decent grasp on nutrition.
