What a lovely video. It brought back some very happy memories.
The Ex Batts are lovely but they don't present quite the same challenges as the tribes.
I do try to keep up with your and MJ thread.

I know you try to keep up & the thread has slowed down considerably but I was pretty sure you'd like this one. No cats... The bantams are very different to the large standards. All except the frizzles are good fliers & while they do forage some they don't wreck the havoc on the garden the Campines do. I've become very fond of them.

Do you like to bringing you’re chickens to ‘bed’, Ribh?
Just a thought in case you don’t like the fuss every evening. Make a big window in the coop. Most of my chickens love to roost early in the coop, and glare through the window to the outside. I’m not sure if that’s the perfect solution. But it’s worth a try?

Unfortunately this is a rental property & the shed belongs here & is a temporary *coop*. My original set up was much more self~regulating where none of this would have been necessary. The upside is I can check all my outside roosters fairly easily @ least once a day. My bigger, older girls were already roosting & had chosen the darkest end of the roost knowing full well the youngsters fuss @ bedtime.

That is a very brave chicken. I've been up in a glider & that moment when the tow rope falls away & the glider drops into the thermals really gets the heart racing!

Good very late evening one and all.
Yesterday was my day off. At some point soon I will be taking two days off. The plan being to spend more daylight hours at the allotment on the five days I'm there. By the time the evening comes and I've done the usual chores all I feel like doing is sitting down and watching chicken TV with the occasional intermission for inspections.
I got home at about 23.00 this evening having left at 18.30. I think at the time I head home I'm one bus and one train short of stranded if I don't catch the intended train.

I seem to have a lot of pictures to post. I wonder if there is data on who posts the most pictures of chickens.
