@BDutch Would love you to post the lentil burger recipe over there!
Done.
The tiltle changed a bit. Hope you like it. Please add more recipes if you have one.

Chickens had lots of free range time. But in the evening I was too late too lock the chickens up in the run/coop.
:he:barnie
My two tree huggers done it again. High up in the leafless pear tree. Stupid cows with wings. It’s softly raining and around freezing temp.

This sounds interesting. Please give me a the recipe.
I make my own burgers too: lentil burgers (with egg and bread crum) , and other veggie food like falafels (chick pea balls) and tiropita (pastry with feta cheese) .
But more often we make meals like this one:

Eggs in the dish for tax. 😜

@micstrachan
The organic meat is from animals with outdoor space and are treated better. Its not only the food they eat. But a whole package of animal friendly rules and regulations.
Glad to hear that! 🥰

One of those flocks is Ex Battery hens. If I understood him right, he buys some every year. Most still lay and he sells the eggs as free range.
He didn't know how many chickens he had. There is another large allotment plot at the back of his house with more chickens on it.
The temporary fence area is his grow plot. He puts the chickens on the plot from the year before. He doesn't do any weeding and has few plants pest problems.

The other flock at the old farmhouse has more of a mixture; note the Red Sex Link rooster. There aren't many of them around. He uses the same fenced plot system.

I was speaking about this using chickens as gardeners with C this afternoon. A lot of people when they think of chickens don't get past eggs.
I thought I saw at least one clipped beak in there, so figured ex-batts.

Hope they made it OK. I had to get Amadeo down last night from the almost leafless cherry by the coops (he's by far the best flier among the roos) - don't they know that although it may be calm and dry when they go to roost, it might well not stay that way through these long, long nights?!? :th

That is so annoying. I hope you can at least finish this coop together !
I fight all the times with my partner when we work. We get over it, there's no choice really. He's competent at building stuff but not at communicating 🙄.

@Shadrach I hope you will not be annoyed that I also ask you for advice on a health subject. My rooster Theo's legs are awful ; he's got small feathers growing and breaking that really irritate him, his scales are raised and bumpy. I can't tell if he's got SLM (scaly leg mites) or if his follicles are getting infected.
Last week I tried putting on a mix of Vaseline and Iodine and it seemed to make things worse, his legs are very red and irritated. Should I keep on doing this, or try something else ?
Here are two pictures but it's hard to get some good ones as he will become aggressive if I come too near.
