Oh what fun. I need to re-read more slowly. I was already familiar with much of the work on fear of heights but not snakes, spiders and strangers.

Someone on here said when they played my video with a mink screaming their chickens were terrified. They don't have mink there.

OK. That I would be afraid of!
I did try to see if this guy could come deal with my rat infestation but he is in Utah so not practical. I love how he gives the mink a bucket of water to cool off in!

Maybe the alert for predators is instinctive, comparable with people screaming of fear (for a spider or a mouse ).

I remember once I had Skeksis & Chippy out for some supervised activity and a hawk screeched nearby. Chippy immediately ran behind our water tank to hide.
