Shaking Chick!! {Happy Updates!! pg. 5}[Pics on pg.6]

Since she doesn't sound like she is suffering badly I'd give her some electrolytes (pedialite would work) and vitamins and wait to see if she improves.

I just wanted to make sure you knew. I know that sometimes emotions can be lost through typing and I didn't want to loose a friend because of the irreliability of text. I really appreciate everyone's help.

I'm giving her vitamin/electrolyte water right now and boiling an egg. I hate to loose any chicks and pullets especially.

I'm calm now by the way. LOL. Had to get over that initial adrenaline "gotta save it" response action. I guess it's a mother hen thing.

I'll have to get som Poly-Vi-Sol at the store tomorrow. The powder in the water will have to do for tonight at least. I have Vitamin E Oil in a small glass bottle. Could it be the same stuff as in the capsules?

Nah, it's just a animal-addict thing.

Thanks about the story of you chicken, Redfeathers. If it does turn out to be a blind, I may have to dispatch it. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to handfeed it. I know it sounds cruel to not have the time for it's special needs. It seems to see alright for now. It's preening itself and avoiding the walls of the box for the most part. She even cranes her head to watch me watch her. We'll see how it goes I guess. My main worry was affecting the other 20 or so chicks in the brooder.

I'll go see if I can dig up the bottle here in a min. I'm holding her right now trying to get her to drink. LOL typing one handed...

Alright, I checked the labeling on the bottle. Unfortunately it reads in big bold letters FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. So I guess that options out. Just another thing I'll have to buy tomorrow.

It is Vitamin e from Fruit of the Earth Inc.
