shamos and thai eggs are in the incubator cant wait ...

do you know when i can start feeding them with a bit of growers pellets ? im feeding them a bowl of mashed up boiled egg bit of chick crums grit and some wild finch seeds once a day and a feeder full of chick crum all the time !

I start my chicks off with Chick Starter and crumble. You can feed them grower right away. Just mix it in with their food.
After a week, once they have grown bigger I add a bit of ground corn into their meal since they can eat bigger chunks of food.
 
thanks ,,, yeah there 3 weeks old now every time i walk passed the box there going nuts just looking at me for somthing ! maybe they need somthing to fill them up a bit more thats what i thought ...

Or they crave attention since you probably give them a lot :p

Check their crops to see if they are full. Just feel it and see if its made up of mostly water or feed. Then you should know
 
1 duck hatched so far the other 4 have pipped on day 26 i only put them in lock down yesterday afternoon ... i thought ducks hatch on day 28 so im confused ? i still dont know what breed of ducks they are ill get a couple of photos up and see if some one knows there a gold and black in colour !

all of the other hatchings are doing fine getting some feathers on um now im going to start putting them out in the run of a day and bring them back in of a night as its still a bit chilly over here in the uk !
 
another 2 hatched through the night thats 3 now and one more is pipping ...=) all going well so far

5 out of 5 ducks hatched so i think ive sorted my incubater problems ,,, photos to follow
