share your dream flock!

We got chicks in the mail, but not on e of the kinds we wanted! Instead of golden laced Wyandottes, we got feather-footed Marans! My favorite of the bunch is Griffin, but I’ve always wanted gold-laced Wyandottes. I’ve also imagined having a peacock before! I hear they make great watchdogs! 🦚

I've got a golden laced wyandotte, you're not missing much. Nobody talks about how loud they are lol, but she is very sweet and we love her. i've always wanted feathered feet, just to see how they keep them clean in the mud

She sounds wonderful! The feathered feet do well in dirt, Griffin just preens the mud off as normal. It also keeps her feet warmer than the others in the winter, we had no problem with frostbite this year! 🪶

My dream flock would consist of many bantam-sized mixes with many different breeds in their heritage. :D I would try to breed in barring, lacing, and mottling as some of the most prominent traits, along with hen-feathering. Though some specific breeds/varieties I’d like to have (and mix) would have to be blue laced red wyandottes, golden cuckoo marans, campines, phoenixes, mosaics, and both candy corn and tolbunt polish.

I forgot to add my favorite breeds, though I have already had them before, they’d definitely be in my dream flock- seramas, OEGBs, sebrights, and d’uccles. I currently have a sebright, a d’uccle, and a d’uccle/serama.
My d’uccle/serama.
